Loss of google ranking!

After a few years of being number one for the search term “adam lewis” on google disaster strikes

Last week our servers crashed and we had to do a big restore of data. � Obviously I dealt with our clients sites first and got those up and running, but I left mine. � I know I don’t do a lot on it any more, but it was always nice to be number one at something!

So this morning, I brought the site back online, did a quick google search and it’s gone! � Boo hoo.

What we can take out of this is that downtime screws up your search results! � I’ll get myself back up there when I get the time, but it’s interesting that our client sites were down for about 6 hours and their ranking wasn’t affected, but if you leave things a few days you can really do some damage.
