Pressitt 1.0, out of public beta

Pressitt 1.0 is here and out of beta, with many new upgrades and features including Google News listing

We’ve been busy over the past few months and have rebuilt the entire backend of the system whilst incorporating many new client sided features as well

Some of the new stuff:

  • Complete overhaul of the Pressitt system
  • You can now tag your releases to assist with visibility – the tags will be visible on the Pressitt homepage
  • We now have a record of what people search for, and auto complete functionality within the search field so that you can easily find what you are looking for faster
  • Improved HTML design and coding for better visibility across browsers
  • Improved search availability across the site, and a search bar can now be found on all releases
  • Twitter/Facebook share icons on the homepage
  • Image upload and document upload improvements
  • Greatly improved social publishing to help you share your releases
  • Live form validation to make registration/login/creation processes slicker and more intelligent
  • Minification and fewer HTTP requests to aid site performance considerably
  • New authentication system with enhanced security
  • WYSIWYG editor and HTML cleaner to allow for greater flexibility in SMNR overviews, body text and boilerplates
  • Converted to UTF-8 site wide to allow for all European languages
  • Additional body text box below the overview section and before the core facts section to allow for more information
  • Updated moderation controls for our editorial team
  • WYSIWYG editor in the boilerplate creation area

Also all Pressitt releases now feature in Google News which is a pretty special achievement!
